 1000 HOURS PROJECT

Bobcat Baseball Supporter:

The North Port High School Bobcat Baseball program is pleased to begin the “1000 Hours” project.  We are grateful for the opportunity to be educated and participate in a game that we love, and we want to give back to the community and people that have supported us in these ventures.

Beginning in June of 2016, the Bobcat Baseball program has pledged to complete a total of 1000 volunteer hours in the North Port and surrounding communities.  All players will be required to complete 25-30 volunteer hours throughout the course of the next calendar year in order for our team to achieve this goal.

Our young men will participate in a variety of community service initiatives, including but not limited to:

  • Feed the homeless

  • Visitations at nursing home/assisted living facilities

  • Set-up, break down and operation of community events

  • Volunteer at Special Olympics events and practices

  • Assist at local Humane Society and Animal Shelters

  •

    Clean-up litter/garbage on local roadway

In order to complete these meaningful tasks, our team is in need of financial assistance to cover the costs of transportation, materials, etc.  In addition, the rising costs of operating a high school athletics program combined with frequent budgetary cuts have put us in constant need of additional funds to provide a meaningful and memorable experience for our young men.

We ask graciously for a donation to our program if you are inclined and able to do so.  Your contribution, whether small or large, will be well spent on both the North Port community, and our Bobcat Baseball student-athletes.

Contributions to the 1000 Hours Project and Bobcat Baseball are accepted in cash or personal check, as well as online through Paypal “Donate” button on our website:  www.wix.com/dpavlue/nphsbaseball.

However you choose to donate, please complete the attached form and return to the address listed below so that we can recognize you for your contribution and also keep you up to date on our program and the 1000 Hours Project.

On behalf of the Bobcat Baseball program, we cannot thank you enough for your continued support of our efforts to become the most well-rounded, successful students and baseball players we can possibly be!

Sincerely,

Dan Pavlue
